“Because of our love for each other, I understand just a little more how God has pursued me in creative and whimsical ways. ways that initially did not get my attention. Nevertheless, He wouldn’t stop. That’s what love does—it pursues blindly, unflinchingly, and without end. When you go after something you love, you’ll do anything it takes to get it, even if it cost everything.” — Bob Goff Love Does, pg. 52.
In all honesty this quote sums up my day. It was amazing to see how God pursued me. Creative yes, I felt inspired to take a box that we being discarded from the Food bank and make it into something that I will use around somewhere. God was also present when I said yes, you can design awesome creative altars to a parishioner. I have to say the more songs than normal were very awe-inspiring for me, I can’t get the gloria patri out of my head. Then throughout the day at both Churches it was just awesome to hear how many people love going to the food bank. I think my final count today was about 45. They served very well. We packaged the equivalent of 9,692 meals. That is just awesome.
There was also great fellowship afterwards when some went to go eat dinner. Everyone who went with us today had an opportunity to share God’s love and purse God’s love. It was awesome, though my knees and back are aching. I love the opportunity that we had today. It was more than just going to the Food Bank, it was doing whatever it took to make sure we could feed the most people we could. When it was all said and done. We saw how God worked on us and through us. It is truly inspiring.
What do you need to do to purse Christ without counting the cost? That’s something to Chew on.
